The Genesis: Building Since 2022
Our story begins with NFTPass securing funding in Fund 8 of Cardano Project Catalyst to craft a basic MVP (NFTPass: NFT Ticketing Solution). The journey was challenging, but the vision was clear: revolutionize the way events are experienced in the Cardano community.
The Fortunate Collaboration with Proxies
In 2023, we took a leap forward, gearing up for live tests of groundbreaking features. A stroke of luck led us to the brilliant minds at Proxies. Tudor, the project lead, collaborated with Rhys and Quintin from NFTPass to fine-tune our alpha test app specifically for the NFTxLV event.
The NFTPass debut at NFTxLV was a resounding success. Our mobile app (available on iOS and Android ) allowed team members to log in, scan community members’ wallet QR codes, and automatically send Proof of Attendance (POA) NFTs. The event was a monumental success with only a handful of minor bugs which were swiftly addressed by the team.
Continuous Collaboration and Evolution
The collaboration with Tudor and Proxies continued to bear fruit throughout the year. From the Cardano Summit in London to an unexpected Claymates meetup, we issued 200+ POA tokens, showcasing the versatility of our mechanisms with minimal input from the Proxies team.
Feedback Shapes the Future
Live tests provided invaluable data and feedback, leading to a paradigm shift in our objectives for 2024. Recognizing the potential beyond one-time use, we aim to deliver a two-pronged solution that will make NFTPass more accessible to events and business both in and out of web3.
